Obviously a first class hull and engine survey are in order. The Cat
3208s do not have the same reputation for durability as the comparable
Detroits. As a Taiwan built boat of that age, other problem areas
could be fuel tanks, wiring and bulkheads.

If you are looking for a motoryacht in that size range you should also
consider a Hatteras 53 or comparable Bertram. Both are better built
than the Jefferson's.
