Let me check my palm -- nope, no explosive plans this weekend, so you won't

What I was planning to do is attend a CG Aux training conference being held
close to home. Couple of workshops and seminars I need to attend. You
know -- better ways to hide contraband in the bilge.... that sort of thing.

I don't see many CG Aux folks out on Chesapeake Bay, but the US Power
Squadron types are as plentiful as palmetto bugs in a Florida coastal
swamp. There's a bunch of them who can't sail but run out of the clubby
Herrington Harbour facility into Herring Bay on Sundays on a 36-footer
and provide a show to passersby of how not to sail a sloop. Scary group.

A brisk business might be had in supplying boat owners with flags or
placards that ward off those USPS types trying to make their bones with
"boat safety" inspections.

I'll have to buy a couple more almanacs to keep aboard, in case we're
boarded by the federales.
