Default Trailer Reminder

Happy New Year!!

Just put new tires on the trailer. The best of the old became the spare. I
was surprised at how much weight was required to balance the tires. Both were
waaaay out.

While puttering around decided to check the brake fluid level. Oops.... full
but contaminated. Gonna have to change the fluid within a few days. I've had
this trailer just four months shy of five years and never given the fluid a
thought. Stupid of me as I know DOT 3 needs changing every couple or three
years. Do it with the pickup, the motorhome, and the car. Don't know why I
didn't think of the boat trailer? When I have the annual maintenance done on
the boat and trailer the shop checks the wheel bearings.... maybe I
subconciously assumed they would deal with the brake fluid too. Hmmmmmm, maybe
I'll pull the hubs and have a look at those bearings.

Recommend you check and or change that fluid if, like me, you've been to dumb
or busy to do it lately.

Guess I'm going to have to tie the trailer interval to the truck.
