Hi Franklin: just to clarify a point. I hope that my previous posts were
clear enough to illustrate that I most certainly do not find the guide
faultless, nor do I find that he was negligent. My point is that some are
jumping to the worst possible conclusion (that he was negligent) too
quickly. My take is that I would not find him negligent based on as little
as we know, if I were forced to pass judgement (which, thankfully I am
not).
Going on the limited info that I have, and through the filter of my
experience, I would have to say that there are plenty of extenuating facts
that support that he probably was not negligent. But I am completely
willing
to reconsider as more is discovered.
However, I believe that the people who have already passed preliminary
judgement one way or another are doing it far too hastily.

Ahh, gotcha. I agree with you on that one. It's a fine line to walk
between dissecting/discussing a incident like this and turning it into a
lynch mob...
