We putted across the sound to grab a bit of lunch yesterday. Enroute, I
noticed my newly installed depth sounder was reporting a temperature of
48 F. A walloping 16 degrees warmer than ice.
FYI, that's around 10 degrees WARMER than typical winter ocean temps when
I used to live on Long Island, NY.
