John's picture is waves moving on a swell...it's different than just 4-5
foot waves....if he was heeled that far over his sails were not trimmed
correctly or he had too much sail out for the conditions...and 4-5 footers
are nominally sized waves, especially in the Gulf or ocean where the period
between them is much larger, than say in the Sea of Michigan....

Neal, do NOT look at John's photo. That wave looks like it might be
nearly
4 feet!

It was nothing like the 5 to 6 feet waves, being heeled at 30, more like
40 degrees for a couple of hours. I would have took pictures, but it was
so rough, I thought I might loose my camera.

Our trip was much more rough than those pictures...
