In the good old days, and I mean old, all the Italian purveyors would
participate in the Feast of the Assumption festival, which was held at
the end of Whalley Avenue, just under the Merrit Parkway. Every
good-looking olive-skinned beauty in southern Connecticut would show up
there. Whew!
I went to Derby and Seymour High. I used to go to Rossini's in Cheshire
and the Town Line Pizza and Seafood. My favorite italian food was
Roseland in Derby. There's also a great little place in Wallingford on
Rt.5 called Fratelli's
