True, but I was thinking more about his descriptions of the crowded
barge conditions, the erratic and sometimes very strong currents and
the facilities (or lack of them) for recreational boaters.
I got the impression that wind or lack of it would be the least of
one's worries.
Exactly my impression from looking at it. I would not take a sailboat
on any part of the Mississipppi that I have seen, except powering to
move the boat somewhere else.
