Default The Bush Economy Stinks...and Sinks

snip

As a casual bystander, it would seem that a bluff has been called.

In my mind, it's "Joe the Technician" from this day forward.

I guess you are getting as stupid as Asslicker.

Read the Calif link. Communication's is exempted completely. And the

only
titles prohibited are "consulting, registered, consulting Engineer"

Nowhere
does it say it is prohibited to say Electronic Engineer, Communication's
Engineer, Train Engineer, software engineer.

All of that is true. Being an electronic engineer myself I understand that
it is a common practice. And yes, he could put on a funny hat and call
himself king. That does not change the fact that he can't legally call
himself a doctor or professional engineer without being one. And it seems
clear that he is not.

I don't protest the other training and certificates he listed. I have Delco
auto training certs and I know how much (or how little) they are worth.

Joe was trying to establish instant credibility by using the title
"engineer" as a basis for being a reliable authority. A signature on an
opinion written by a professional engineer does carry a certain legal
authority. A signature from any of the "engineers" listed above carries only
as much authority as the purchaser of his services is willing to invest in
it. In this case, "Joe the Technician" is just another guy.
