Ellen MacArthur has smashed the world record for a solo
circumnavigation, finishing in under 71 days 13 hours.
The previous record holder Francis Joyon took 72 days 22 hours 54 mins.
The BBC yesterday devoted half its time to this event. I doubt any US
news program mentioned it at all. Imoressive. That boat really moves.
