In the late thirties, the German people had enormous admiration for him.

brought great prosperity to Germany, and some badly needed international
respect(fear).

No accounting for taste or good (bad) judgment. The Germans ate lots of
crow following their defeat.

Bush and Hitler are similar in most respects - apart from intelligence!!
