I'm pretty sure that the 460 was bred from the 429 block, not the 427.


Yup... the Lima / 385 engine...

They were more popular in the California-Style jet boats than other
installations. The Olds 455 was big in the jets, too, for some odd
reason... the 454 Chebbies almost always outran the Olds and Ford...
