I'm heading to the BEYC in March.
I'd rather have gone later in the year, but I didn't pick the times.

the IC-24 and then head over to Anegada.

I have a J-24 spinnaker I'm bringing with me. I should
call and see if they have a pole and sheets for it.
E-mail Gordo and ask him.

Director of Serious Fun (Watersports): Gordo Overing
We sailed the IC-24, but they don't race them regularly because BEYC
only owns two. I think they sold off most of their fleet of J-24s.
The IC-24 is easier to handle the lines, and the cockpit is *way* more
comfy, but the boat isn't as powerful because the crew all sits inboard.
You notice this in puffs.
It is a cool place. Llast time I rented a J-24 for $30 for
the 1st hour and $15 an hour after that. I had a blast
sailing around the harbor.
If you stay in the hotel, you can sail all day every day, in any of the
boats up to the Freedom 30 (assuming there's at least one idle), for
free. Not only that, you can race against Katie & Dexter who are both
extremely good racing skippers... Gordo ain't shabby himself but I think
he's more into windsurfing.
My buddy is letting me use his J-44. So it should be a
good trip.
Sounds like it... you're taking the J-44 down from Connecticut in March?
