You're a religious guy. I'm surprised you don't know the meaning of the
phrase "taking the name in vain." I'm not, but I do.

It's a prohibition against using the name Yahweh when casting a spell
or pronouncing a curse.
"God damn you" may come close to crossing the line, but "Oh my God,"
"God but you're ugly", and other casual references like
"Jesus.......learn to read" fall well outside the intention of that
particular Mosaic commandment.


Calling someone like me 'Jesus' (or a variant thereof) *is* as bad as
using the Lord's name to pronounce a curse or casting a spell. The
issue is the disrespect shown the Lord.

Now, if the poster had called *you* (or most others in the group)
'Jesus' (or a variant thereof), then you'd be correct.

You're more religious than you think, Chuck! You're probably much more
religious than I am.
