In the space a few months....baby is born, his grandmother dies after
just
three weeks of knowing him and a terrible car accident nearly claims my
father's life.
But now...things are starting to return to normal. I see the group churns
along
it's merry way...sort of. I can't wait for the new sailing season to
start.
Hey, Donal...did you ever get the scope? Which one?
I got a TAL 200K. It's a Russian made 8" Klestov-Cassegarian.
Here are my first photo's.

65s, ISO 800, Canon EOS 300D, Prime Focus.

Unfortunately, Machh... lost its tail on the night that I was able to take
the photo(Jan 8th).
So whaddaya think of the 300D? Did you get just the body and buy a seperate
lens or did you get the package?

Tested a lot of scopes
recently and traded in my C9.25 for a new C8 SGT with XLT coatings. It's
for
local use. Here's a pic for you, taken with the D70 and a Tokina 400mm
lens...took quite a few shots before I got a "good" one.
I know the feeling!! I've taken nearly 200 shots of Saturn so far ... all
rubbish!!
Regards
Donal
