What do you say about THIS, Bill?
Hello, a person on a newsgroup has said that when
someone
doesn't
pay
their slip fees, or abandon a boat in your marina, that
you
simply
tow
it up on the beach and let the salvagers have at it.
His
exact
words
a
"At Pillar Point Harbor in Calif, the put the abandoned
and
dead
beat
slip
paying boats in "The Box". They tow them up on the
beach
and
let
the
salvagers go at them."
Is this true? I have looked up California law
concerning
abandoning
boats in this manner, and have found out that it is
illegal. It
is
also
a violation of CA environmental law, so I find it hard
to
believe
that
you practice this illegally, if at all. I'd like to
know
that
if
you
do, how is it done legally? I will be awaiting your
reply,
thank
you.
Sir,
Please rest assured that this practice is not done at
Pillar
Point,
or
any other marina operated by San Mateo county. Our
county
prides
itself
on being in the forefront of environmental regulation,
and
to
do
anything such as you have described above would, as you
have
stated,
not only be illegal under California criminal statutes,
but
also
under
the strict guidelines of our state's environmental
laws.
There
is
an
area that is commonly referred to as the box. This area
is
where we
put
watercraft to hold, that are grossly delinquent in
fees.
This
area
is
not, however, a salvage area. We hold the watercraft in
this
area
until
either payments have been satisfied, or liens are in
place.
In
the
worst case, if liens are intact, we dispose of the
boats in
a
legal
manner. This usually involves selling either at
auction, or
to
licensed
salvagers. Thank you for your interest.
Yup, you are still the newsgroup idiot. As I said they
put
it in
the
"Box"
and then the salvagers get it, or they sell it at
auction.
And
you
said
they could not do this.
This is great, I got ANOTHER email from this guy:
Dan Temko
Harbormaster, Pillar Point Harbor
#1 Johnson Pier
Half Moon Bay, CA 94019
(650) 726-4723
His first sentence was, in caps, NOT TRUE AS STATED. Should
I
post
that
for you, also?
you are getting obsessed with me. Stalking now?
Hehe! You're busted, again. Is that all you can come up with,
Bill?
You are the one that is an idiot. The harbor master says they
put
them in
the box, jsut as I stated. Then they auction or sell them to a
salvager.
Same as I said. You think the salvager gives them over 20 bucks
for
the
boat? You are the one that said the harbor can not dispose of
the
boat. Go
read your messages, Kevin.
I'm not Kevin, but, you are dead ass wrong, or you lied, one or
the
other. I NEVER said that they couldn't dispose of a boat. Show me
where
I said such a thing. I said, and Pillar Point has verified, that
they
can't, and that they don't "tow them up on the beach and let the
salvagers have at them". THOSE are YOUR *exact* words, Bill. That
in
itself proves you are either a liar, or don't know what to hell
you are
talking about. Again, the exact words of Dan Temko, the
harbormaster
for Pillar Point, is NOT TRUE AS STATED, when I told him your
EXACT
words.
Bill, it looks like this one is not a keeper....way too stupid,
even when
compared to a fish. I bet it was fun playing with him after you
snagged
him though.
I wonder if asslicker ever gets tired of that woooooooooshing sound?
Uh, yeah, sure, Jim. Bill knows that I was right, and Bill and you, and
Fritz know that Bill wasn't trying to "snag" me. How stupid can you
get?
