I was going to respond point by point, Doug, but I realized that on this
thread you've departed from your usual reasoned discussions, and instead

pointless.

Quote my posts "attacking straw men."

Here's the basics, a recap in case you've forgotten:

You jumped all over Jon Ganz for saying that productivity had decreased.
You stated that productivity had increased, and hinted that it was not
only a great thing but also due to Bush's tax cuts.

A few other people chimed in, saying that the article Jon was quoting
was a misquote in the first place.

I said that the economy remains in rather poor shape, that there were
signs that there was really not a net increase in productivity, and even
if there was, it was not affecting anything else positively.

You asked for what these indications against increased productivity, and
began attacking imaginary "liberal sources" and even stated that the
Wall Street Journal was liberal leaning.

I gave you the list of indicators against increased productivity, and
pointed out that unlike prior historical definite increases in
productivity, this one (if real) was not affecting interest rates nor
has it benefitted profitability.

You went off on a tangent about liberals in the media again, and began
saying that I was "attacking straw men."

If you anything substantive to say, other than admitting that the
Bush/Cheney economy is benefitting rather few and remains in the dumper
for most of the country, now would be good time. Otherwise, step back,
take a deep breath, and admit that you're wrong. It would only be the
first of many, but it would be a start. I do not intend this to be
insulting, only to say that since you cannot support your publicly
stated opinions with fact... maybe it's time for a change (couple of
months late, but what the heck)...
