The Marinetex suggestion is a good one. But you might also want to look at
"JB Weld" because it's more metal-based. I would suggest doing a
side-by-side comparison plugging a hole in a piece of scrap with each, and
then drilling it to simulate what you are really going to do with your
controls.

I have an 85 Supra Saltare. The drivers control is coming loose due to
the screw holes being worn over the years. What is a good way to anchor
the side controls back to the boat? I haven't worked with

fiberglass/gel
coat repair kits up to this point.

Would I be better off buying an aftermarket side mount control? They
appear to be much lighter.
