You can't make the statement that institutions have nothing to do with human
hypocrisy and then and then refer to the institution of the Church as if it
were an entity that makes its' own decisions....humans decide the fate of
the Church...the institution does not fail...it is the humans that fail the
institution that corrupt...

It is a human trait to point the finger at somebody else
instead of accepting their own culpability. Institutions
have nothing, whatsoever, to do with the manifestations
of human hypocrisy.

It just so happens that DSK is right for once. The Catholic
church has failed to stick to its roots but it has failed even
worse in its attempt to modernize.

people=institutions unfortunately, there are a lot of bad people that
hide
behind and even gain power in institutions. People don't discuss the good
that institutions do, they only like to look at the bad that the people
who
hide within them commit...

AHA ! I knew it! You're ex catholic.

Me dear old Irish granny would be ashamed to hear you say that. She
claimed I was never Catholic, but rather a wild heathen that got
dragged
into the church regularly while still small enough.

young, but still remembers the screwed up views.

IMHO the problem with the Catholic church is the same problem as with
most
churches... hypocracy. The main message is beautiful but the
application
is all greed & power.

OTOH unlike most other Christian church officials, the Pope will still
wash the feet of a beggar.

... Our church is all
about love , giving, sharing, human kindness, etc..

It's a shining example to others, then!
