Do i have to take the lower end off of the motor, or can i pull the motor
someplace and have it pressure tested?
I wonder if i fill it up with new gear oil could i take it for a quick spin?
I have done some work on the boat and want to see if everything is working
properly before I tear into something else? I was hoping the oil seal would
be a simple matter of taking out the 2 bolts and pressing the oil seals off
and the new seals on.
Thanks for the help again....Tom

I have a 40 hp Force engine and it is leaking oil from between the prop and
carrier bearing housing assembly

Can somone give me some hints on getting the carrier assembly off of the
lower gear caseing? Does it have little pins that it slides onto, does it
screw on, do i need a fancy wheel puller or do i need a big hammer and a
block of wood?
I have the 2 new oil seals, but I am wondering if there is an O ring that
is holding the carrier in place?
Thanks in advance for the help, it is very much appreciated....tom
