It's a hard shell dink...it is the rolliest, tippiest little thing
around...getting used to it was a wet proposition at times...we have a
system now. First we stow all the stuff, evenly distributed, then I get in
first and sit on the middle seat. Chopper loads next and sits on the floor
between the bow and middle. As Mr Sails boards, I lean forward and as he
slides to the stern I move to the bow. By this time, the waterline is
definitively a lot higher than it was...the thing is only supposed to carry
300 lbs. Mr Sails weighs 200 and Choppie weighs 68, plus the stuff weighs
at least another 20...so that leaves my 12 lbs...if we stuck another 30-40
lbs of engine on the rear, I'd have to gain that much to even us out...

Our dinghy would sink with a motor on back...it's a very precarious
thing, our dinghy...

I don't recall--is yours a hard dink? A little kicker shouldn't bother it
any, as long as you both don't sit on the transom knees. g
