Here in Newfoundland Canada we are having a new years paddle on Jan 1.
We may have to break ice to get into the harbour of Quidi Vidi but it
will be done.
There is a similar event in Central Newfoundland ( North Coast 400 KM
away ).
If anyone is here, we can likely find you a boat and keep you dry.
