everybody in this group had your uncommon wisdom and social
aptitude combined with a manly sense of humor and abundance
of wit.

You also have a striking sense of irony. When you wrote, "Jeepers,
that Jonathan is sure swell!". , you had me rolling on the floor
laughing. I know what you meant - something like "Jonathan sure
swells when his male friends are around.", but you managed to
say it in a witty and understated fashion like the brilliant
writer your are.
