Sorry, must have misread, I thought it said 99 lbs. Yes, quite a difference.

time when fishing from a party boat off of Tarpon Springs a hammerhead
surfaced that was much heavier than 99 lbs. Sure looked all of 15 feet.
Near everybody took a step back from the rail. :-)

Maryland has baby hammerheads. The IGFA record, as Capt. Bill said, is
991 lbs...caught by Allen Ogle, Sarasota, FL, May 30, 1982.
