BOTH INTERNATIONAL and INLAND
According to the Navigation Rules, you may depart
from the Rules when ________________.
A. you do so to avoid immediate danger
B. no vessels are visible on radar
C. you are in a close quarters situation
D. out of sight of land
It could be said that both A. & C. are correct. (Rule 17)
Shen
C is not complete enough. If it said in a close quarters situation
where the other vessel has failed to live up to its obligations
and a collision is imminent I would agree.
