I've trailered a 9'6" cruiser all over and found it to be worth the
extra width in spite of the permits. Idaho is awful (they told me which
weigh station to pick up my permit, but it was closed, then issued a
warrant because I didn't pay), Kentucky is expensive ($66 each way), but
most aren't that big of a deal. I don't always get them, either. Some
are available on the Internet.
