Is the surf/pier fishing any good this time of year?

Thanks.

There's lot's of bass, crappie, and blue gill in the St. John's river
just to the west!

I believe the St. Johns River ends in Central Florida quite a bit north
of Cocoa Beach, which is on the Atlantic Coast.

I think it keeps going, at least from Lake Poinsett to Lake Winder and
south.

Don't know if this will work, but will try anyway:

Click on the lake to the southwest of Cocoa and follow the river down.
Between these two lakes, the river is only about twenty yards wide,
but its banks are full of bass. Cane pole poppin' is a favorite way to
catch them.

The link worked fine and made me jealous.

Wish our boating season was longer up here. Oh well, at least I get to fish
from shore for Rainbow Trout (Steelheads) that run into the rivers in the
fall. They put on some good acrobatics when you tie into them. All catch and
release for me, they taste awful.

I would rather be boating!
