No that is a problem. Shaun's solutions sounds great.
I just came after inspecting the boat once more.It seems to me that it will
be ok to follow his instructions.
Thankl you for the input.

Can you get to the underside? Had a problem like that with a Catalina 22
and was able to access thru a cockpit locker.
The foam "core" had rotted in the center because of a leak (crack in
sole).
I ripped the foam out and fit a couple pieces (to ease installation) of
3/4 marine ply, slathered well with thickened epoxy and screwed in place
from above. After the epoxy kicked, I fixed and dressed up the crack in
the cockpit sole. Solid as a rock.

My daysail boat open cockpit (Tempest22) floor is making cracking noise
when I walk on it.
There is small crack also.I patched the crack with fiberglass cloth.
Now I have to solve the problem to prevent farther cracks.
I 'm considering 2 options:
Cover the floor with playwood and fiberglass over- details like non
skid and glue between playwood and current flooring arise . Someone
recommended applying expendable foam to seal the playwood to floor

Second option is to re fiberglass with cloth and several layers , and
fill the space between hull and floor with expendable foam to support the
weight of the crew.
I lean toward 2 option.
please share your suggestions

Thank you.
