I am planning on painting the decks, cockpit, and cabin top on my fiberglass

brand!
Yes I know, you are supposed to use the Mfg's products, aka "system"
Anyone have experience with other primers, for Awlgrip?
Any info appreciated. And, yes, I am trying to save a buck, in order to spend
them on other parts for the boat. This boats not a Gold Plater!
Thanks to all.

We used Awlgrip 545 and loved it. We had some primer and topcoat
leftover from painting the hull and deck, so we just painted the new
fridge with it. The 545 is easy to use and sands beautifully.

If you're spending the money on Awlgrip topcoat, I don't know why
you'd want to save a buck or two on primer since, as we all know,
preparation is everything.
