membrane replacement for PUR water makers?
The standard size membranes used on boats are nominally 2.5" diameter and
lengths are 14", 21" and 40". A few watermaker brands have nonstandard
lengths to force you to buy replacements from them. I know the Survivor 80
uses a standard 21" membrane but the Survivor 35 and 40E don't look like
they are long enough to hold a standard 14" membrane. Dow Filmtec 14"
seawater RO membranes is part number SW30-2514 and the 21" is SW30-2521.
Great Water sells them for $200 and $225 but look around and you may find
them for less. If it is not a standard length count on paying Pur about
twice as much.

The little ones, Survivor 35 etc. I don't have bux for a new one so I
thought I'd try ebilk and then replace the membrane but I can't find
out how to do that. Mr. Google boggles me lately. Any ideas on what
brand would still have available parts and where? Ketadyne or whatever
it's called doesn't seem accessible. Thanks and happy boating.
