[1] In one of my psych classes in college, we were introduced to what
appeared to be a sane, buttoned down, well mannered young man who was
totally convinced that he was an inter-galactic super agent here on
Earth to prevent an attack of super predatory aliens. He had an ID
card made from a driver's license, carried a water pistol filled with
what he called "disrupter fluid", etc.
The odd thing was that once you got away from the super agent thing,
he was perfectly intelligent, sane and apparently a savant at high
order mathematics.
