Well, what would you expect from a German co.? My R100S broke a gear
in the tranny this summer. Another winter project. You're not getting
a gag Harley, are you?

I did see a BMW car that reminded me of the hull on a Mac26X. And I
still don't understand the concept of a ''luxury'' SUV. And what's
with the ''bigger is better'' routine with the truck / SUV crowd?
Soon I'll be in style while driving the Pete to the grocery store.

Why?

Rancor toward the company. They've put two successive dealerships
in our
area out of business within the past 4 years. They essentially set
them up
to fail. Their corporate expectations for dealerships are
unrealistic,
placing the dealer in a barely workable situation during excellent
economic
times, and in an unworkable situation during less-than-ideal
economic times.
So now we once again have no dealership in our area. Owners in my
area must
now travel 150 miles or more to get their bikes serviced. And BMW
USA
couldn't give a rat's ass.

While on the subject of BMW, have you seen the truly ugly cars BMW
has been
turning out from the drawing board of Chris Bangle (Bungle)? No
doubt our
current 323Ci will be the last BMW auto we own as well.
