-Great suggestions...thanks for your time.-
Bilge-Time, I have plenty of. I'm sitting on a ship moored at Newport
News.
SS-DD, y'know?
Good luck on the house hunt. I wouldn't overlook the Atlantic coast of the
DelMarVa, either, Ocean City MD is fun in the summer, and there's lots of
sounds, bays and rivers you can fart about in your boat exploring.
Berlin,Maryland is a nice little town, and close to OC's restaurants
galore.
Salisbury MD is the year-round big town on that end, and I s'pose it's
okay, if
you don't mind the smell of the Perdue poultry plant in August...clears
the
sinuses, good fer what ails ya.
I took the family on a weekender over the ChesBay Bridge Tunnel...far out.
Within 15 minutes you go from sleepy backwater farm country to urban
Norfolk/Virginia Beach.
And...I must pass this along for my deck colleagues...us heavies are in a
dredged channel all the way up and down the bay...vessel under power
constrained by draft, and all that Rules of the Road they chant at each
other....give us a break and keep clear of us in the channel, otherwise we
all
have to lurn the "Tonnage Law of Navigation".
My favorite is when you see a 21' day sailer crossing the path of an 800'
container ship that is headed up the bay to Baltimore. Who has the right
away all of the way to the bottom of the bay?
