you have to bag and store the filters in a dry place after each use or
they will become ineffective

finally located a new 7500-3 set and I notice immediately that I can
breath properly through the mask, whereas before I had trouble drawing
air after a few minutes. So the cartridges were probably full and I
was getting crud through them even though I couldn't smell it. Worked

Active carbon filters can be washed and reactivated whith realy hot water
steam, if available.
