Didn't you claim that Bush would win the last debate? Why did he crumble? It
seems to me that his team really flopped out. He wasn't prepared for anything
beyond's Kerry's ancient history, which news-fact checks cleared up afterwards.
While I wanted to see bush fall, I'm a bit shocked at how badly he did. His
team clearly told him to smile when Kerry spoke, so now poor Bush was left
looking like a SMILING blinking deer in the headlights. Even his own people
barely commented on Bush afterwards, attempting to attack Kerry instead.
So again...WHAT HAPPENED, JOE????
As much as I hate Bush and all he stands for and the "direction"
(down) he's "leading" (stumbling), I hate to see a president fail like
this.
Check out Monica Crowley's book on Nixon, called "Nixon off the
record." Nixon said the same thing about Clinton when he seemed to be
flailing during the first few months of his first term. In one sense,
Nixon was glad because Clinton was a Democrat. In the other sense of
the bigger picture, Nixon cringed and agonized about it.
