I have a yanmar YSE8 in my boat. Very reliable, simple engine and
parts are easily obtained. I hand start it sort of regularly,
everytime I forget my keys.

If you can find a used one out there, I would not hesitate.

Just from my experience, don't get a Volvo! Yanmars are excellent .
