I had to smile at the portion of the story where the airline admits that
the
passenger calmed down as soon as he was reprimanded by the flight crew-
but the
pilot (probably a Republican), diverted the plane and had him arrested
anyway.
Speak against Bush and get kicked off a plane and arrested......and this
line
is a classic "Safety and security are our first priortities." Yep, better
arrest dissenters wherever they can be found- safety and security, you
know.
Wonder how the guy got so drunk on the plane in the first place? Couldn't
be
because the flight crew kept serving him?
If "safety and security" are your first priority, you don't keep selling
liquor
to an obnoxious drunk.
If the airline did their homework, they could've solved the problem in under
a minute. Husar's from Huntington Station. That's Long Island. I'm from Long
Island, originally. People from Long Island are loud and opinionated. It's
something in the water, I think. The only people I ever met there who were
NOT like that were lying in coffins at funerals, and even they were
opinionated, but quiet.
If the airline knew he was from L.I., they could've made peace using a few
feet of duct tape, and maybe a bitch slap from the air marshall. When it was
over, Husar would've thought the whole experience was fun - much better than
riding the Long Island Railroad late at night.
