Thanks for the reference to the Tombigbee Waterway. From there I found the
American Great Loop Association which publishes material on traversing the
waterways, canals and rivers in the eastern U.S. It looks like quite an
adventure. I expect that next spring we will be bringing a boat from St.
Simons, GA back to Cape Cod, but taking the scenic route through the
heartland.
