You sure are touchy, loco!!! In the earlier thread I endorsed the Fortress and
your use of it:

I thought I was endorsing your decision, but you took offense to my calling it a
minimal anchor, and went on to say that's all you need to "cruise" the
Chesapeake, and ridiculed anyone that carries more anchor.

I still think an FX11 is appropriate for you, but all of the lurking newbies out
there (both of them) should understand that the charts in the West Marine
catalog rate the minimal anchor to hold the average boat in 30 knots. This may
be OK for the daysailor, but virtually every guide for cruisers advises going up
one size or more. Further, anyone who "cruises" for more the a few hours,
should have two anchors; most people that go out for extended trips carry three
or more anchors.

light and I race. It's designed to hold my mid displacement boat in most
conditions. About the only time I anchor during most summers is when we have
race committee duty or for an occasional lunch. When we are out on an
overnight we stay at a nice marina and eat at nice restaurants. So you see I
don't need a selection of "better" ground tackle. Please try to get this.
