It is switched. I use it to power a block that connects to a 12v plug,
my dash lights and my fishfinder. I also installed a Amp meter and
Voltmeter to make sure I wasn't using too much juice for the engine to
recharge, and I wasn't.

I can provide pin-out diagram of the rubber connector if you'd like.
