Thanks for the report.
We did almost the same trip in 2001. (we started at Coal Banks and
exited at James kipp) At that time, toilets were not required--- just
a shovel to dig a hole. Below are some pictures.

BTW, we also had MAJOR problems with gnats the last 2 days. They were
miserable!.
