I use what one of the above posters basically mentioned. A single
Yakima rack on the cab with a raised T bar that fits into my Reese
hitch. The system seems to work just fine. I've got an extended cab
so the 17' kayak only sticks out about 18" on each end. I went with
the store bought Tbar gadget.
