I'll leave the pricing question to others with much more knowledge than me.
The tri-hull approach was a design that, in my opinion, never took into
account any faster running. Standing still; going slow; they are fine.
Running at a fast pace..they slam and bang you. I owned one!
Choose your boat with what YOU do with it.
If I was fishing some near-by lakes..and wasn't concerned with fast speed,
it would be fine.
