My husband had been looking for a boat to fish, etc and found a 1975
Glastron Beau Jack Super Pro. They are asking $3450 for it. It appears
to be in very good shape. I am what you would call picky when I look
at anything, be it a horse trailer, truck but I don't know much about
boats. I know there are many deciding factors in purchasing but is
anyone familiar with this type/year or make of boat and does the price
seem in the ballpark of what a boat like this would cost. I know very
little about boats and he knows some. We have friends who have new
boats but they tend to not be as "frugal" as we are and buy 20-40k
boats so I don't know if they would exactly give me a valid opinion
not being familiar with older boats. Also, this is a tri-hull boat
which I have been told is a more stable boat. Is this true? Any info
would be appreciated. This would just be a toy he would use casually
and he has been looking for a few years but he seems to really like
this boat and the price range. Thanks
WWW.nada.com is a good place to start. They list several "Beau Jack" models,
none say Super Pro but the 17' pro is estimated $985 retail

You should be able to get a better match by looking at the boat length. Also,
the prices are in pieces:
boat + motor + trailer = price for rig. All avail in

There may also be options like trolling motor, nice depth finder, live wells,
etc. The motor value will be significant if it is newer than the 1975. If it
is the original motor though, that sounds very high to me. That boat barely
cost $3450 when it was new.....
