I did not mention anything about NY state...NY state is a lovely
place...it's just NYC that's a mess...

some years ago i lived in kentucky,
when i first moved there i was blown away at the crime, mostly the
murders.
while living there a friend and colleaque was murdered in a bizzarre set
of
circumstances. this is something i have personally never witnessed in NYC
(other then 9/11)
and hope i never do. (not to say it doesn't happen)
