My husband had been looking for a boat to fish, etc and found a 1975
Glastron Beau Jack Super Pro. They are asking $3450 for it. It appears
to be in very good shape. I am what you would call picky when I look
at anything, be it a horse trailer, truck but I don't know much about
boats. I know there are many deciding factors in purchasing but is
anyone familiar with this type/year or make of boat and does the price
seem in the ballpark of what a boat like this would cost.

Well, almost 3500 seems a bit steep for a boat of that vintage. However,
you know what they say: it's worth as much a someone is willing to pay
for it.

I know very
little about boats and he knows some. We have friends who have new
boats but they tend to not be as "frugal" as we are and buy 20-40k
boats so I don't know if they would exactly give me a valid opinion
not being familiar with older boats. Also, this is a tri-hull boat
which I have been told is a more stable boat. Is this true? Any info
would be appreciated. This would just be a toy he would use casually
and he has been looking for a few years but he seems to really like
this boat and the price range. Thanks

You might want to check out http://www.classicglastron.com, especially
the message board. Lots of knowledgeable folks there with lots of
Classic Glastron specific info, and you might even be able to find
someone with the same boat.
