Yikes! Where to start!. Just pick a spot and go. Cortes Island is a
wonderful place to start any trip into Desolation Sound, or up the
Strait.

Vancouver Airport is the best place to start, saves you from
bus&ferry-fares. There is a river some kilometers north-east from the
Airport terminal.

I have once done it almost like that. I started from Granville Island
and paddled to Port Hardy in three weeks.

Looking to family camp and paddle near Johnson Strait. Any advice
about camping there? Any drive in camps to start from? Good places
to go? Etc.

Thanks.
