It wasn't my daughter (who did get in), but I was talking about several
kids
who tested in the top 1% of the IQ distribution but were denied entry
because the school's policy was to admit instead kids who tested way below
that if they had the right skin color or the right sort of surname.

'No Child Left Behind' is fixing that by loading brighter kids with Ritilan
so they don't mind learning at the slowest kid's pace.
