yes it is. If it wasnt protected from corrosion properly then the
whole drive may be damaged. Salt water will also eat all sorts of
fittings and such parts.

Get someone who knows what they are looking for to look at it.

If you dont have such person, hire one or look for signs of corrosion
and neglect and then still have a knowledgeable person look at it:

- no zincs or zincs eaten away
- corroded fittings
- bubbles paint on the drive
