It's amazing to me that one needs to pass a competency test of some sort to
operate a car, motorcycle, gun or an airplane but we turn 'em loose open the
water with no restrictions here.


FYI, as far as I know, any adult who can pass the mandatory federal
background test can buy a rifle in any state in the US without taking any
test. You do need to present ID to pass the background check.
